Purpose and mission
The St. Stephen’s Food Pantry is committed to alleviating hunger in our community by providing nutritious food with compassion, dignity, and respect. Through the generosity of our volunteers and supporters, we strive to serve our neighbors in need, foster a spirit of community, and share God’s love through service.
At St. Stephen’s Food Pantry, we believe no one in our community should have to worry about where their next meal will come from. For many individuals and families, unexpected challenges—rising costs, job changes, or health issues—can make it difficult to put food on the table.
Our pantry exists to meet this essential need with compassion and dignity. By providing reliable access to nutritious food, we not only help ease immediate hardship, but also offer a sense of stability, care, and community support. Through the generosity of donors and the dedication of volunteers, we are able to serve our neighbors and ensure that no one faces hunger alone.

At St. Stephen’s Food Pantry, this guiding principle reminds us that our work is rooted in generosity, compassion, and community. While food is at the heart of what we provide, it is people—our volunteers—who truly make our mission possible.
The St. Stephen’s Food Pantry depends on dedicated volunteers to help with a variety of meaningful tasks, including sorting and organizing donations, preparing orders for our neighbors in need, assisting with donation pickups, maintaining records, and offering a welcoming presence to those we serve.
Our volunteers are the energy, heart, and spirit of the pantry. Their kindness and commitment create an environment of dignity, respect, and hope for everyone who walks through our doors.
We strive to make every aspect of volunteering rewarding and enjoyable, fostering a sense of purpose and connection for all who participate. Whether you have a few hours to give or are looking for a regular way to serve, your time and talents can make a real difference.
